Thursday Night Street Wars at The Strip at LVMS continues to combat illegal street-racing
problem in Las Vegas LAS VEGAS -- The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will hold its third
round of Thursday Night Street Wars on Thursday, May 12, at 8 p.m. Thursday Night Street Wars
was launched by The Strip at LVMS to combat illegal street racing - also referred to as

Thursday night test and tune

Thursday night test and tune at SIR went off without a glitch. The weather was nice, and the track
was great! Maybe to good with a couple blown rearends. From bracket cars to Funny Cars I think
the all slicks Thursday night test and tune popularity will grow as the word gets out. Check
the SIR schedule for future Thurs. night test and tune sessions.

PGA golf pro, Drag Racer like you and I

Jay Don Blake and wife Marci from St. George Utah run a 1957 Chevy Super Gas car.
We caught up with the Blakes in Tucson Az. at the Divisional race.
Jay says he has been racing for 12 years and built his Super Gas '57 in 1997.
Jay says drag racing has a lot of similarities to golf; it's an individual sport,
and takes good concentration and focus. Whether teeing it up, or staging for first round,
the apprehensions and nervousness of wanting to perform well and get off to a good start
